John Wallace Watts, 55, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away suddenly Sunday, August 21, 2016 at his home.

A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late Frank Limuel Watts and Esther Brooks. He attended Mt. Creek Baptist Church and was grounds technician at the National Guard firing range for many years.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Mt. Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Richards and Rev. Lamar Wheeler.

Surviving are his wife of fourteen years, JoAnn Godsey Watts of the home, five brothers; Limuel Watts, William Watts, Danny Watts, G.W. Watts all of Oxford and Floyd Watts of Creedmoor, three children; Sheldon Englebright, Allen Englebright and Leigh Garrett and six grandchildren.

To entire Watts family, I was so saddens to hear of the death of John. He was a good man, a mans kind of man who was respected by May.

I am so sorry to hear about John. He was a very stand up guy. Always had time when you needed a hand. We will always remember him. Thoughts are with the family.
